Mole Veracruzano is an exquisite mixture of chiles, nuts, and Mexican chocolate, In addition, it contains plantains, plums, and raisins which adds a touch of fruitiness. The mole comes as a concentrated paste and is prepared with chicken or vegetable broth. Traditionally Mole Veracruzano is served with chicken; however, this mole is well suited for other meats such as pork, beef, lamb, and seafood.
